Quick Exit

Medway

We run weekly meet-ups in your area. These are safe spaces that anyone who thinks they might be LGBT+ can come along to. You can meet new people who share some of the same feelings and experiences as you, socialise and just hang out in a safe and non-judgemental setting. We also run virtual groups for young people in Kent and Medway: find out more.

Are you aged 13-17?

We are now running in-person meet-ups for groups of 12.

When? What time? Where?
Every Monday 4.30 – 6pm Parkwood Youth Centre, Parkwood Green, Gillingham, ME8 9PN

Covid safety rules: please do not attend an in-person group if…

  • You’ve had any of these symptoms in the last 10 days: high temperature, new continuous cough, lost your sense of smell or taste, had a change to your sense of smell or taste

How to join a group

If you are interested in joining, email us at beyou@porchlight.org.uk. From there, someone from our friendly team will get in touch with some questions and details on how to join the group. You won’t have to answer anything you are not comfortable with sharing; we just need to get in touch so we can make sure the groups remain safe spaces for everyone.

If you want to join a group but don’t feel ready yet

If you want to join a group but don’t feel ready yet, we can offer 1-1 support. Our friendly trained staff will listen to any issues you might be having around gender identity or sexual orientation and can provide support advice and guidance to help you.

If you are interested in joining a group or want 1-1 mentoring, email us at beyou@porchlight.org.uk. From there, someone from our friendly team will get in touch and get to know you. You won’t have to share anything you are not comfortable with; we just need to get in touch so we can make sure the groups remain safe spaces for everyone.

If you are under 13 we can still support you. Contact us on beyou@porchlight.org.uk and someone from our team will get in touch with you.
